J Cavallaro Construction is a Cairns-based, family-owned company with over 20 years of industry experience. We provide a comprehensive range of concrete and civil concreting services across Cairns and surrounding regions, supporting both public and private sector projects. Specialising in civil concreting, drainage infrastructure and culvert construction, we combine practical expertise with a strong focus on safety, compliance and durability. Founded in 2013 as a general carpentry and concreting business, the company has successfully evolved into a trusted civil construction contractor. Over the years, we have undertaken many challenging and technically demanding projects, like the PENINSULA DEVELOPMENT ROAD UPGRADE in Coen, the CHARLESTON DAM WALL located in Foresyth and road upgrades in CAPE TRIBULATION along the Bloomfield Road. 

 

We have extensive building skills, operational capacity and on-site experience across a diverse range of developments — including remote and regional works. This breadth of exposure has strengthened our problem-solving capability and reinforced our reputation for reliability in difficult environments and conditions.

 

We have a dedicated, highly skilled team specialising in bridge construction, structural footings and foundations, drainage systems, culverts, channel drains, stormwater pits, headwalls, apron slabs, footpaths and shared pathways. Every aspect of our process — from precision formwork and reinforced steel placement through to concrete pouring, finishing and curing — is executed in accordance with, and often exceeding, Australian Standards.
